    Eagles Baseball Update

    The NTCC Eagles baseball team picked up a pair of big road wins Wednesday, downing the Paris Junior College Dragons in Paris, 6-5 and 1-0. The wins helped the Eagles improve to 15-28 overall this season and 9-19 in conference play.

    The Eagles broke open a scoreless game in the third inning of Game One Wednesday, scoring five runs in the frame en route to a 6-5 victory.

    Eagles closing in on end of rough season

    The NTCC Eagles are closing in on the end of a rough season as the team is currently in last place in the East Zone of Region XIV. With eight games remaining, the Eagles are 13-28 overall and just 7-19 in conference play. ... read more »





    Eagles sweep three from visiting Pratt

    &thumbnail=1The Eagles pushed their record to 5-1 this weekend as they swept a three-game series from visiting Pratt Community College. After a disappointing offensive performance last weekend, the Eagle hitters came to life against Pratt as NTCC produced 28 hits and 24 runs in three games this week. 

    “We were finally hitting the ball the way we should be,” Eagle head coach Josh Stewart said. “I just hope we can keep hitting like that as the season goes on.” 
    D.J. Roberts led the Eagle hitters during the series, going 7-11 at the plate with three RBI while Austin White was 5-11, including the Eagles’ first home run of the season. 
    The Eagles scored all the runs they would need in the opening three innings of game one Friday afternoon as NTCC picked up a 9-0 victory.

    Eagles women take 2nd, men 4th at home rodeo


       The Northeast Texas Community College 23rd annual rodeo wrapped up Saturday afternoon at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Arena. The NTCC women’s team took second place and the men finished fourth.
       NTCC athletes were up against around 300 competitors from other colleges and universities in the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA).
       Wacey Hathcock won the saddle bronc riding and Slatyr Hunnicut finished third in the same event. Dustin Jackson took fourth in bareback riding and Jackson Massey won fourth place in calf roping. ... read more »







Northeast Texas Community College offers intercollegiate athletic competition for both men and women in a variety of sports. Northeast is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). NJCAA sports include men's baseball and women's fast pitch softball at the Division I level. Men's rodeo and women's rodeo participate in NIRA sanctioned events.
