Eagles sweep three from visiting Pratt
The Eagles pushed their record to 5-1 this weekend as they swept a three-game series from visiting Pratt Community College.
After a disappointing offensive performance last weekend, the Eagle hitters came to life against Pratt as NTCC produced 28 hits and 24 runs in three games this week. “We were finally hitting the ball the way we should be,” Eagle head coach Josh Stewart said. “I just hope we can keep hitting like that as the season goes on.” D.J. Roberts led the Eagle hitters during the series, going 7-11 at the plate with three RBI while Austin White was 5-11, including the Eagles’ first home run of the season. The Eagles scored all the runs they would need in the opening three innings of game one Friday afternoon as NTCC picked up a 9-0 victory.
