Northeast Texas Community College Softball
The NTCC softball team unveiled its brand new state of the art softball field in the 2010 season. The new softball field which is highly touted as the best field in region 14 is arguably one of the finest softball fields in the nation.
The new softball field matches many NCAA Division I ballparks with it being 210 feet to all fields. The Dugouts,
which are the largest in the region, allows for maximum comfort between innings as well as before and after the games. The newly constructed pressbox houses the Lady Eagles concession stand, broadcast booth, pressbox, restroom faclities and one of the most unique designs in collegiate softball. During practices the Lady Eagles take advantage of their spacious bull pens to allow for many different catching and pitching drills and two onsite batting cages with an additional area to allow for more
hitting stations. NTCC can boast as having one of the finest bermuda playing surfaces in the south and a recently laser graded playing surface has allowed for maximum drainage. The state of the art sprinkler system keep the grass plush in during the hot East Texas summers. NTCC truely has one of the finest facilities in the country.
The most recent addition to the athletic facilities has been the remodeling of the weightroom. For the spring of 2010 the Eagle athletic teams will work out in style in their new state of the art weight room. With the addition of 2 customized power rack with olympic platforms there is no limit to what the Eagles can do to prepare for their seasons. In addition to the power racks the Eagle and Lady Eagle teams will be able to utilize the brand new Smith machine, leg extention/leg curl, Lat/Low row machine and two full racks of dumbbells to build strength and endurance forthe upcoming year. To compliment the new weight equipment the athletic staff's also have the finest in agility training equipment. The sports utilize a combination of ladders, med balls, plyo boxes and a host of other equipment to help train sports specific athleticism.
